Our Approach

A P&L with actual insight.

We structure your chart of accounts so pass-through costs, delivery costs, and overhead are isolated. This surfaces delivery margin, which is the most important indicator of agency health.

Revenue that lands in the month the work happened.

Accrual books with a revenue recognition process allow for a full understanding of delivery performance and true profitability.

The people who keep your books also translate them into action.

Bookkeeping and Fractional CFO under one roof means your P&L is paired with a management report and advisory that guides business decisions.

Leading indicators, not just lagging ones.

Your P&L is looking in the rearview. We help you apply the insight to the future, so you know what steps will actually improve the next close.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in basic bookkeeping?

Every engagement includes:

  • Transaction categorization: every bank, credit card, and connected-account transaction coded.
  • Account reconciliation: all bank and credit card accounts reconciled monthly.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation: every balance sheet account reconciled, not just the cash ones.
  • Chart of accounts maintenance:maintained to Parakeeto's agency framework, not a generic template.
  • Pass-through isolation: media buys, ad budgets, and hard costs separated so AGI is accurate.
  • Payroll recording: entries recorded, reconciled, and categorized; registers tied to the GL.
  • Revenue recognition entries: monthly accrual and deferral posted against your earned-value schedule.
  • Month-end close: journal entry review, reconciliations, and accruals, every month.
  • Financial statements: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows.
  • Sales tax recording: tracked and recorded in the books as your jurisdiction requires.
  • Documented assumptions: every judgment call written down and surfaced for review before it reaches you.
What happens when something in the books is uncertain?

It gets documented and sent to you as an assumption to approve, before the books close, not after. You'll never find a miscoded transaction six months later and wonder what else is wrong.

How is pricing set?

On the actual volume and complexity of your books, not a tier you have to grow into. Add-ons are scoped during the consultation and priced into your monthly fee.

Can you handle accounts payable?

Yes, as an add-on. Vendor invoices are received, coded, and entered into your bill-pay platform, with payments staged for your approval and AP aging reported monthly. An enhanced option adds due-date monitoring and direct vendor coordination. You always release the funds; we never do.

Can you handle invoicing and accounts receivable?

Yes, as an add-on, in two modes. We send and monitor the invoices you prepare, or we prepare and send them on your behalf from your billing system or project data. Either way, you get a summary of what's going out before it goes out.

Do you run payroll?

Yes, as an add-on, end-to-end including submission. Salaried teams with no changes can run on autopilot; anything variable comes to you for approval first.

Do you file 1099s?

Yes, as an add-on. W-9 collection and verification, 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC prepared and filed, copies distributed, and totals reconciled to the GL before anything is submitted.

Can you forecast our cash flow?

Yes, as an add-on, with a 13-week rolling forecast, updated monthly or weekly. Our team builds it; your consultant walks you through what it's telling you during your regular session, not as a separate call with a separate person.

Do you prepare or file our taxes?

No. We're not a CPA firm and we don't employ licensed tax professionals. Your tax accountant stays your tax accountant, and we work with them, not around them. We provide the statements and schedules they ask for, your consultant routes their questions, and your books stay on accrual regardless of what basis you file on. If you need a referral, we have one.

Do you provide audited or reviewed financials?

No. Your financials are management-basis statements for running the business. They aren't prepared for third-party reliance, and we don't issue opinions, comfort letters, or any form of attestation. If a lender or investor needs that, you'll need a licensed audit firm.

Do you handle sales tax filing?

No. Sales tax varies by country and state, the exposure from getting it wrong is real, and it isn't our expertise. We record it correctly in your books. For filing, nexus determination, or compliance review, we'll connect you with a specialist.

Do you chase unpaid invoices?

Chasing payment and managing vendors defaults to you, because those are your relationships. Payment follow-up can be discussed as an add-on.

Is this a fit if I just need basic bookkeeping?

Probably not. If what you need is someone to categorize transactions at the lowest possible price, there are better options, and we'll say so on the call.

What does the process look like from initial quote to first monthly close?
  1. Ballpark. We discuss your bookkeeping status, delivery model, and goals. You'll get a ballpark on monthly cost.
  2. Scoping. We get view access to your accounting system, schedule a call to discuss processes and systems for any add-on services, assess details and cleanup required, and come back with a firm quote covering both the monthly fee and any one-time work.
  3. Onboarding. Kickoff will cover projected timeline and details for one-time work, and key details around chart of accounts restructuring, classifications, and revenue recognition methodology. Your bookkeeping onboarding will occur prior to work commencing on any add-on services.
  4. Monthly rhythm. Books close within 15 days of month end. Management reporting follows. Then your working session, where the numbers turn into insights and decisions.
Who will I actually talk to?

One consultant who knows your business and owns the relationship. Transaction-level questions get batched and sent to you once, not drip-fed by four people over three weeks. Strategy, reporting, and anything that matters comes through your consultant.

Stop guessing what happened between the top line and the bottom line.
